ideas for adding a special tpoch to your Christmas gift wrapping
We used simple tissue paper, feathers and a sparkly "pick" but you can jazz it up with all sorts of other things such as: silk flowers, metallic pipe cleaners, peacock feathers, small Christmas balls attached to sticks or wires, or even some artificial holiday greenery.
Also look for wire with beads and sequins attached to add some sparkle.
Supplies used here:
Sconce- we suggest using a piece of plain white copy paper first to determine the size you'll want your finished shape to be before cutting the good stuff.
A 3-sided pyramid or a cone will work for this. For a pyramid you can cut out a shape with 4 pie wedges, overlap the outer two and glue together. Place this sample on your box and lightly mark the box so you'll know where to glue the real sconce.
We used a a piece of handmade paper for a little extra visual.
Bouquet -
this is made from crumpled tissue paper,
feathers, shredded craft paper and a
silver sprig - this was part of an old floral decoration but you can buy something similar at any craft store. Look for their holiday "picks" - they're always on sale around the holidays and very inexpensive. Just take them apart to get the piece you need for your package.
Gather your bouquet together, making it as full as you need, fasten it together with tape and then glue it into your cone.
