Fishing for a wrap theme

Wishing to do something creative for a gift wrapping project? Often intentions are overshadowed by other events. Often it is hard just to get paper, ribbon and bow that match. One way to get the ball rolling is to start with a theme. Does the gift you are wrapping offer ideas for a theme?

Maybe a bow isn’t the answer. Exotic birds and fish offer great solutions. Try dressing them up in whimsical shirts complete with accessories. Make your creative creatures from colored paper and clips from magazines. Make copies of your imaginary critters. Divide the box top into an simple grid and place copies of your creation into each square. Be creative when developing your own gift wrapping theme, remember that your whimsical fish can have hands and faces if you want.

Tip 23
Paper doesn’t take up much space. Old magazines, calendars and maps can be used for wrapping projects. A department store bag with bold graphics can be transformed with a little creativity.
