Unique Ways to Wrap and Present an Engagement Ring
Few things are as important to a man as that day when he finally asks his true love to marry him, and certainly few days are as memorable -- but why not make the occasion even more memorable, both for you and for her? We're not talking about making a fool of yourself in a restaurant here, like some guys do in movies. Although that would indeed be memorable, you don't have to go that far. All you have to do to add a little more zing to presenting her wedding ring is to dress up your presentation a bit. How? We're glad you asked.
That holiday spirit
Online jewelry stores have a fabulous selection of wedding bands and you can get some excellent deals and one of a kind treasures all with the click of your mouse. The holiday season is usually a memorable time, so why not make it more so? Here's a modest proposal (pun definitely intended). Suppose you and your beloved decide to spend Christmas together. Buy her a nice silver chain and string the diamond engagement ring on it and hang it on the tree. Or you can get a really nice "ornament box" to put it in. An ornament box is exactly what it sounds like. It is an actual ornament that opens up and has a secret compartment inside. When the time comes, let her know her last gift is on the Christmas tree somewhere. She'll have a great time looking for it, and when she finds it you can pop the question -- and you'll have an excellent engagement memory to share.
Everyone loves a good mystery
Now if you want to go way out on a limb... try this great idea. Lead your beloved on a bit of a scavenger hunt. However, this scavenger hunt will be tasteful, mysterious and classy. See if you can pull this off:
- You will not be anywhere around when she unwraps the first box. Inside it will be a note that tells her this is the first of many gifts she will open this evening. Leave her a clue (an easy one) on where to find the next present.
- In the elegantly wrapped box, will be an appropriate outfit for her to wear to your secret rendezvous place (which will be later). If you can't afford something new -- just choose something from her wardrobe that you know she likes and wrap it up. Put a note in the box that tells her to please put on "your favorite" outfit and tell her where the next clue is.
- The next uniquely wrapped box will contain a single red rose (or whatever her favorite flower is) and directions to a restaurant (or other romantic spot) where she will meet you at a certain time. For example, if you both love the outdoors you could buy her a cute jogging suit and the note would have her meet you at a favorite spot in the park.
- After dinner, or the movie or feeding the ducks or whatever. You present her with the final box which will be the most elegantly wrapped of all. What a wonderful way to present diamond engagement rings!
You see? All you have to do is get creative. Most people enjoy the occasional bit of spontaneity, and in fact asking her to marry you is the perfect time during the dance of courtship that you have an opportunity to be so creative! It's all in the presentation! impulsive. After that it's all planning, picking a church, deciding which embarrassing relatives you'll invite, and selecting the perfect wedding bands.
